Updating ubuntu 8 04 to 8 1

Things I've run or checked: what repositories do you have enabled?
Someone has reported in launchpad asking for packaging openjdk-8 in Ubuntu 14.04, but no luck so far.
I assumed it was just a keyboard shortcut to Update Manager and I could do that just as easily using System | Administration | Update Manager.
